Circa 1900
Pretty, Victorian 15ct yellow gold swallow pendant. Set with six pretty, natural seed pearls through his body & three on each of his wings. Comes complete with a modern 9ct yellow gold adjustable length trace link chain.
Swallows were said to represent love & faithfulness. Typically items adorned with a swallow were gifted to a loved one when they set off to sea or war. It was a reminder of the love shared and a promise to return home safely.
Pendant measures approx height 17mm & width 16.5mm.
Chain length is adjustable 18-20 Inches
