Silver Hallmarked Chester 1910

A Charles Horner silver flying‑scarab brooch, hallmarked Chester, 1910, modelled with the distinctive Art Nouveau–Egyptian Revival crossover that defined Horner’s early‑20th‑century output. The stylised scarab form is worked in solid silver, the outstretched wings filled with vibrant blue‑to‑green plique‑à‑jour–style enamel, graduating in tone to create a luminous, wing‑like translucency.

The Brooch measures approximately 13mm in height and 28mm in width.

Circa 1900

An elongated 15ct yellow gold brooch with a raised central panel framed by fine beaded edging and symmetrical applied motifs typical of late Victorian decorative metalwork. The surface is enriched with granule accents, cross‑form elements, and scroll‑inspired detailing, giving the piece a refined architectural balance.

The reverse appears fitted with a traditional hinged pin and C‑catch.

The brooch measures approximately 46mm in length and 18mm at widest point.
